“It is an attribute of greatness and of American exceptionalism to not surrender to our nature, but to be guided by an inner calling to persevere and to prevail, no matter the personal cost.”

– Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA

What We Value & What We Believe

The Florida League of Republican Voters® is a Judeo-Christian organization that operates within the framework of National Conservatism, an “America First” political movement that prioritizes biblical truth, the sovereignty of the United States, and the interests of American citizens above all other considerations. The National Conservatism we espouse embraces faith, patriotism, honor, courage, merit, and tradition as the values necessary to preserve our republic.

As constitutional conservatives we believe in the principle of limited government, the protections guaranteed under the Bill of Rights, and our system of well-ordered liberties.

  • We believe that faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life and is essential to maintaining an objective moral order. While we are non-denominational, we are an explicitly Judeo-Christian political organization dedicated to preserving Western Civilization and the institutions that sustain it.
  • We believe in the sanctity of all human life and that abortion is intrinsically wrong. We believe life is a gift from God that must be defended from conception until natural death.
  • We believe in an “America First” agenda, best understood through the lens of National Conservatism, that prioritizes the sovereignty of the United States and the interests of the American people above all other considerations.
  • We believe the first duty of government is to provide for our common defense. This requires strengthening our military and developing the advanced weapons systems necessary to deter aggression.
  • We believe true prosperity can only be achieved by free people, engaged in free enterprise, working to meet the needs of a free market. Communism and socialism – the twin evils that feed off envy and resentment – are the enemies of economic progress and constitute an existential threat to our liberty.
  • We believe the United States, as a sovereign nation, has a duty to enforce its immigration laws and maintain strict border security. After years of touting so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” it’s now clear the Democratic Party will never agree to the deportation of illegal immigrants.
  • We believe free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our constitutional republic. Common-sense measures such as photo ID, paper ballots, and strict limits on mail-in voting are essential to election integrity. Because early voting locks in votes while campaigns are still unfolding, it should either be eliminated or restricted to no more than the five days preceding Election Day.
  • We believe DEI initiatives, which prioritize diversity over merit, inevitably sow discord and alienation. Rather than fostering a sense of inclusion, DEI’s grievance-based architecture deepens societal divisions by focusing on what separates Americans rather than on what unites them.
  • We believe that the weaponization of our criminal justice system is incompatible with the rule of law. Politically motivated prosecutions erode the public’s confidence in an impartial judiciary and violate the 5th Amendment’s due process guarantees.
  • We believe globalization has become a powerful transnational force that threatens America’s economic sovereignty. Poorly conceived trade policies have hollowed out our manufacturing economy, weakened America’s strategic position, and limited job opportunities for young and old alike.
  • We believe that antisemitism is a pernicious threat that must be confronted. While there is room for reasonable disagreement regarding America’s relationship with the nation of Israel, as a Judeo-Christian organization we believe that hostility directed toward the Jewish people is unacceptable.
  • We believe America’s rising level of public debt is unsustainable. We support a “Balanced Budget Amendment” to the Constitution and significant spending cuts that would include the elimination of any federal agency whose functions could be transferred to individual states.
  • We believe energy independence is vital to our national security and that artificial barriers to domestic energy production must be removed. Americans should reject any restructuring of our energy economy in the name of “climate policy.”
  • We believe government vaccine mandates violate the moral principles of medical consent, bodily autonomy, and self-ownership. Lockdowns and other coercive measures create levels of personal hardship and economic disruption that are incompatible with a free society.
  • We believe public schools that fail to respect parental rights are failing our children, our families, and our communities. School choice not only allows families to select the educational environment that best suits their children's needs, but it also strengthens our public schools by incentivizing them to be more responsive and to focus on improving educational outcomes.
  • We believe that every American has the right to receive and exchange information without fear of being censored by Big Tech. To combat this threat, we believe every lawful means should be used to end the unregulated status of social media platforms and restore the free flow of information.
  • We believe the transgender movement, which rejects the reality of biological sex in favor of so-called “gender identity,” is based on a belief system that harms children, denies objective reality, and seeks to obliterate any meaningful distinction between male and female.
  • We believe in the dignity of man, the right to rise, and the power of the human spirit to triumph over adversity.
